Our Plants:

Signa's collection of rare plants are carefully selected by hand from nurseries and brokers across northern California. On any given day, our showrgoom is hosting around 40 species of plants suitable for growing in the home in Sacramento. Our year-round sun and high average temperatures makes the City of Trees the perfect place to care for your own plant.

While many plants in our collection are high-light tropical epiphytes, many are hardy in lower light conditions; stop by to see our current collection and find a plant that speaks to you.

Caring for our Collection:

We take pride in finding the truly rare and beautiful individuals among the thousands of plants available, and keep the plant's health in mind during the transportation process. By caring for our plants by hand, we ensure that they thrive in their new locale, and prepare them to live in the lighting and temperature conditions of your home.

Seasonal Botanicals:

In addition to tropical plants living at our shop, Signa provides botanical arrangements for events, the home, and designed environments. Contact us in advance, so we can source the unique material trademarks of Signa's designs.

Horticulture at Home:

Horticultural tools, like moss poles, cache pot, bamboo trellises and liners available at the shop. These allow plants to thrive in the environment we prepare for them in our homes.

Plants need light to thrive. Our corner location in Southside park takes advantage of our urban canopy to keep our plants healthy.

We provide seasonal fruits, flowers, and stems from our neighborhood’s historic horticulture trade, including ingredients for arrangements.

Our south-facing windows encourage our plants to “harden-off” to conditions in Sacramento as they leave their nursery environment.

Working with local ceramicists, we develop custom designs for cachepot, also known as jardinière or cover pots. These provide a healthy environment for the plant, while providing design flexibility in the home or business.

Antique brass, copper, and glass are key to our design style, with a focus on handmade features, natural patina, and timeless design.

We partner with experts including bonsai artists and nurseries to design specialty projects, classes, and more.
